Brave Like a Buffalo
Melissa Allan & Jadyn Fischer-McNab
This story uses a powerful animal, the buffalo, as a symbolic message and connection to Indigenous ways of knowing and being that helps to create a wonderful narrative rich with Indigenous ties and a heartwarming message around facing adversity.
At this event, participants will learn more about the buffalo and what makes them such an amazing animal. Then we'll make a paper collage celebrating this magnificent creature.

He came to Canada with his family in 1925, teaching in Nipawin and Prince Albert before taking the role of Chief Librarian at Saskatoon Public Library in 1938.
