Performers on Parade features professional performers in the areas of music, dance, theatre and more! Each week, a different performer will visit each library in the city.
Sure, he’s been a professional orchestra conductor for many years (Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra 2015 – 2022, founder of the JUNO-nominated group of 27 Orchestra, etc.) but Eric Paetkau can’t get enough of the pure joy and laughter that comes with performing for kids. Combining his interactive, original songs and goofy stories, Eric’s live shows are a hoot. He’s also got a weekly online show for kids, writes children's books and uses a banana phone. Eric’s silly alter ego, Mr. Eric, is just a big kid who loves sharing music and stories. His infectious energy gets people singing, dancing and yearning for ice cream.

The Carlyle King Library officially opened Oct 16, 1979 and is located in the Cosmo Civic Centre. Carlyle King was the first library to be part of a multi-purpose facility in Saskatoon. It was named in honour of Carlyle King who, in addition to a distinguished academic career, was actively involved in the Saskatchewan Library Advisory Council, the Saskatchewan Library Association and the Saskatoon Public Library Board (1955-1972).
