Is a Book a Box for Words?
Harriet Ziefert & Mercè Galí
There are so many types and uses for boxes, it’s time to think of as many as we can. In this entertaining book with rhyming text, young children are invited to explore all the different boxes we find in our lives and what they are used for.
At this event, you will make your own book box—it's your choice what to put in it. We’ll also challenge you to a series of book-related games.
The Mayfair Library was established in 1952 in the basement of the Mayfair Community Hall. By 1989, the building was no longer suitable for the library and the basement location presented accessibility problems. The current Mayfair Library was reopened in 1991, on the same site, after a one-year break in service during construction.
